**Trading Sucks in PoE2 – It’s Time for an In‑Game Auction House**
Hey folks, here’s why the current trade system is broken — and why we desperately need an Auction House.
--- ## 🔴 What’s wrong with trading now ### 1. **Whisper spam & ghost listings** - Players grind hours sending **hundreds of whispers**—sometimes 150–200 to buy a single item—with only a handful of responses. - Many listings **persist after being sold**, leaving buyers ghosted long after making an offer. ### 2. **No buyer/seller commitment** - Sellers frequently **relist items**, **raise prices mid-chat**, or **cancel offers entirely**. - No reputation system or penalties exist for **no-shows** or **scam attempts**. ### 3. **Archaic, clunky process** - You have to: 1. Open a browser 2. Search listings 3. Whisper the seller 4. Wait for a reply 5. Join their hideout 6. Trade manually 7. Hope they don’t cancel last-minute …all just to buy a single item. - Console and cross‑play users have it **even worse** without browser support or fast typing. ### 4. **Bot abuse & price manipulation** - Bots **flood the market** at weird prices (e.g., 1 exalt each), then **snipe listings** and resell. - **Dump tabs** with poorly priced items **clutter searches** and confuse players. --- ## 💡 Why an Auction House solves this | **Benefit** | **Result** | |-------------|------------| | **Instant buyout** | No spam, no hideout invites, no wasted time | | **In-game integration** | Trade without leaving the client | | **Price transparency** | Real-time pricing history and filtering | | **Auto transaction** | Safe, server-side currency and item handling | | **Reputation system** | Trustworthy sellers rewarded, bad actors exposed | A seamless internal system would eliminate the pain: **no spam**, **no scams**, **no ghost listings**. --- ## ⭐ Community voices > *“It’s toxic, clunky, easy to exploit, and not fun to use.”* > — Steam user > *“Why tf do I have to log into some website … join their party … trade? … Removes me from the action.”* > — Reddit user > *“You dump stuff in… then you can’t be bothered to leave a map… Trade in this game is not good.”* > — General sentiment on forums --- ## 📌 Call to GGG We get it—**you want trade friction** to make items feel valuable. But what we have now isn’t friction. It’s *punishment*. - Players are driven to **external tools**, **Discord bots**, and **third-party websites** just to engage in basic trade. - Early Access is the perfect time to test and evolve this. An Auction House **won’t ruin the game**—it’ll save the economy from bots, scams, and player burnout. Add: - Instant-buy options - In-game trading UI - Seller ratings or filters - Server-side enforcement Let us trade without stepping out of the game world. --- **TL;DR:** The current trading system is outdated, broken, and frustrating. PoE2 deserves a modern solution. **Add an in‑game Auction House.** --- Let me know your thoughts — and if you agree, make some noise! 💥 แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย Jagdkommando90#7200 เมื่อ 19 มิ.ย. 2025 17:53:17 ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 20 มิ.ย. 2025 09:57:49

Of course +1, the game definitely needs an auction house or some form of offline trading, the current system is utter dog shit.

Trading is one of the weakest aspects of this game. Which is sad, because it is not so hard to implement. POE2 deserves better. | |
+1!! Trading is currently so slow and clunky. Added friction is just a turn off tbh

POE 2 got serious performance issues. And so far the devs don't do anything about it or can't do anything about it. Either way it is very bad!
