Physical Damage Leech works only with attacks tagged "physical"?

Even though my damage is 100% physical, on the vanilla Spear Throw despite Leech value is shown in the skill description and modifier on the weapon at least described as "Leech Physical Damage" without a mention of "Physical Attack" as a keyword, Life Leech works indeed only with attacks tagged as Physical.

I wasted 6 hours of my life on that scam, these mods definitely need better descriptions
