Totem counting as minion

I have currently attached the new helm "The Dark Monarch" with golems as the current role. When I have equipped the helm it does not allow me to cast wither with spell totem. I do not have the keystone "Runebinder" allocated so I am confused on why it will not let me cast the spell totem support.
