PoE 2 is turning into PoE1 eventually...

According to the latest Johnathan interview to some Japan blogger, they are planning to speed up PoE2 gameplay.
In short, they’re turning PoE2 into just another version of PoE1, instead of keeping it as a unique game with its own gameplay specifics.
It means, GGG has caved to the zoo-community from PoE1, and instead of a well-paced, thoughtful game, we’ll end up with a blurry mess of effects and mobs that the game engine can’t even handle (like 3.26).
Pollution of loot that mean nothing, zero emotion from drops, just a braindead skill spam 24/7 — the way the crowd likes it. It is already turning into that with the recent loot patches.
Your thoughts?

you already have many other low-brain-effort cookie-clickers like D4, LE and POE1, why do you need another?

Color me shocked the game has less than 500 players watching streams, the only people still playing it are bots and 20 real people. But yay they killed POE 1 to make it !

I'll still never play poe 2 or give them any more money until they go back and fulfill the things they said they would do for poe1. Graphical and systems overhaul, QOL we have been missing for years why can i still not sell things from stash in 2025 as an example, Loot overhaul to smart loot 2.0 and thats just getting started.

Nobody asked for poe2.
i really would love if there would be less white mobs, much much less, but much much more dangereous. More like demon souls, where you have to mind your steps, your attacks, stamina and mana. Instead, we really are getting poe1 just in better graphics.

But yeah, thats MY opi, thats what I would like. Doesnt have to be right for everyone else. But yeah, right now, the game is more like quantity instead of quality

I think PoE2 had a great balance at the launch of 0.2.0 - the campaign was both fun and challenging, and I really enjoyed that. Every gear upgrade felt meaningful, every skill gem level-up made a difference. Unfortunately, it’s been dumbed down under pressure from the PoE1 monkey-zoo community.

In PoE1, you breeze through the entire campaign wearing random gear from Act 1–2 and barely bother to set up your gems and links - that’s just not satisfying. PoE1 was not like that at all at launch. It felt way more like PoE2 and Diablo 2. And thats what made me to start playing the game

Yeah, both Brevik and Chris agreed on that point.
But the thing is, people are already hooked on fast, easy dopamine, and they want to keep getting it over and over. It's exactly like TikTok — just endless doom-scrolling with their brains switched off. That’s what most modern ARPGs have turned into. And what happens when you try to take a dose away from an addict? Exactly - screaming, whining, and full-on rage.

ok... so we talking about "PoEのディレクター「ジョナサン」に直接インタビューするKH" from youtuber "KH / Killin9Hit".

In this interview he literally states the opposite. its at 7:16 (answer starts at 8:25) if anyone wonders. Unless you mean at 21min where they talk about 'map completion time', which is not the same thing. And again even in that section Jonathan explicitly states 'combat has changed' from poe1.

Terrible rage b8 thread man, just straight up dishonest... yare yare. But thanks for the source as it actually proved i worry too much and game wont actually deteriorate to button holding brain rot anytime soon.
I am just worried that PoE2 might follow PoE1’s path: great at launch and for a couple of years, but gradually becoming easier, faster, more zoomy, and losing its core identity patch after patch. Especially under pressure from hype-driven PoE1 streamers like ruetto or ziz and their often loud, reactionary communities.
It is already started.. like those changes with currency amount and jewelery drops.. Earlier it was exciting to find some amulet and craft it. Now that feeling is gone, cuz game drops the amulets on each corner.
So, slowly step by step the game will become easier and easier. The initial design was "if you need a loot filter, we are doing something wrong". And where are we now? So it is not a "bait" as you said, it is the process which already started.

It’s already clear how hard it is for Jonathan to stick to his original vision in the face of all this. I honestly feel for him and just want to show my support as well as put attention to the topic and see what are the thoughts of other players.
