One balanced rune which made game less punishing: moving speed.

Yes, just a rune with 10%, 15% and 20% of move speed, which might be inplented ONLY into the boots which had no moving speed already. So, this rune would allow you to do not throw away a pair of good boots, which unluckily had no that CRUCIAL affix on them. While will be balanced, because natural affix might give you a more powerful bonus of moving speed, so rune might be not an optimal choice for "minmaxing".

This might work aswell, but i dont believe that GGG is ready for such "fundamental" changes.
As long as it is not a bad idea, with how much MS is desired such rune would cost A LOT in divines.

Yes, I agree with this.

So I had been playing PoE 2 non stop for 2 weeks. I know the movement speed felt slower than what I expected but I got used to it. After I got a 15% MS boost. Wow big difference. When I got a 25% boost plus the ones in the Passive tree, even massive difference!

Here's the fun part. Over the weekend I switched to D4 to play Season 9 (yes I'm late in that game), the base movement speed in that game seems to be faster than the my character in PoE 2.

I only realized the massive difference after I went back to PoE 2 yesterday. All those 25% MS and passive MS boost FELT REALLY REALLY SLOW compared to my not so optimized D4 character yet.

I'm not saying we should have D4 movement speed but I think the base movement speed could be better and the boots should have by default implicit movement speed. I had thrown a lot of really nice boots just because the movement speed is hard to roll.
I think Devs should bring a Rune or Soul core that gives % to movement speed with more innovative ideas like:


a: 20% movement speed used by boots that doesn't have movement speed.

b: 200% more movement speed ( overall) used by boots that doesn't have movement speed.

c: 100% increased movement speed when only one passive node is used and boots doesn't have less than 15% movement speed. 1 limited use per boots.

why not just put cars into the game at this point

But they brought Spear mount and now waiting for Merc war Horse ....

Will not make vaal socket boots broken at all.
