Endgame Loop Rework
I think and am confident enough to state that others think this too; that we need a functioning endgame loop to keep players invested. All of my friends who either have or don´t experience with PoE are saying the same thing: progressing Atlas is unintuitive and not fun. Especially how you need to clear towers in order to juice the maps in order to make them actually fun. Towers are counterintuitive when you are trying to find Corrupted Zones, Unique maps and or Citadels.
Instead of just pointing out the problem we have thought of a possible solution: towers don´t juice the maps surrounding them but always have a boss rush encounter that has a guaranteed unique book drop. These books can be thrown into the starting point of Atlas (or an NPC) in order to buff predetermined number of maps you next enter. At certain map tier thresholds when you clear this tower boss rush the Atlas gains more sockets so you can juice more maps simultaneously. This way the towers would be exciting to find but not mandatory (very, very, boring) detours to struggle through. Literally NO ONE has ever said "Wow another tower I am so excited to clear 30 boring maps before I can maybe get lucky and juice the maps I actually want to run". This change alone would make the whole of endgame way more immersive and fun to farm because you could choose the way you progress the biomes and layouts without setting up some RNG-based tower blender whatever-system thingy.
