Lightning Bolt doesn't echo or cascade

I'm fairly certain that the skill Lightning Bolt should be able to benefit from the positive effect of Spell Echo support, and also Spell Cascade support, but both support gems only have their negative effects applied. Is this a bug? Am I an idiot?

Bump! I would also like to know. I've been testing it in maps and it seems like I don't really lose much damage with spell cascade. Either I'm imagining it or it may not work visually only. Would love a definitive answer.

This used to work and spell cascade is even one of the suggested gems for that skill. I believe it was broken in the Third Edict release, definitely looks like a bug.

This is a definite bug.

Try putting it on a regular lightning bolt Staff and casting it on enemies.

There's no cascade at all.
