Manoki, the Chosen does not give The Jade Isles map completition when slain

The title is pretty much the bug
map was a T9 rare waystone
map had an expedition (cleared) and a few rares (all slan)
the boss was defeated regularly, but its objective didn't clear at that time and is not clearing waiting inside the map or going out and back in
i died twice while clearing the map but no other issues have arisen

EDIT: after opening another map the reported map now is marked as failed
