[Suggestion] New Charm Tier: Grand Charms (Skillers)

I like the concept of Charms in general, but think they've been poorly implemented. I'm never excited about picking Charms off the ground as they feel underwhelming. To add more excitement to Charms, I would like to propose to GGG to add a new charm tier, Grand Charms. When a Charm drops, they have a 5% chance to drop as Grand. Grand Charms will spawn with a randomly rolled Prefix shown below (prefixes already exist in game):

Grand Charm Prefixes
of Combat +1 to Level of all Melee Skills
of the Archer: +1 to Level of all Projectile Skills
of the Taskmaster: +1 to Level of all Minion Skills
of Coals: +1 to Level of all Fire Spell Skills
of Snow: +1 to Level of all Cold Spell Skills
of Sparks: +1 to Level of all Lightning Spell Skills
of Anarchy: +1 to Level of all Chaos Spell Skills

Few examples shown below:


Ruby Grand Charm of Snow
+1 to Level of all Cold Spell Skills
+25% to Fire Resistance


Antidote Grand Charm of the Archer
+1 to Level of all Projectile Skills
Grants Immunity to Poison


Golden Grand Charm of Anarchy
+1 to Level of all Chaos Spell Skills
15% increased Rarity of Items found

I think Grand Charms would be a great addition to PoE2, and would be similar to Skillers from D2, which were highly sought after. The number of different combinations for Grand Charms would be staggering with 12 random Charms and 7 random Prefixes.

Well Charms are "working" by granting a temporary effect when triggered.

Charms do serve a purpose, but think they need more to make them worthwhile.

I would honestly rather D2 style charms than +6/+7 skills on your weapon, especially for SSF spell builds where trying to roll + skills with good stats on your weapon feels impossible. For weapon based characters its not as bad because you can just slowly ramp up your weapon DPS but even there +skill suck.

The essences help a bit but they only go up to +3 out of 5 for wands, whereas they're +6 out of 7 for 2h attack weapons??

The huge +skills on weapons also make it really hard to justify using Unique weapons due to how so few of them have any +skills, you're usually missing out on +5 to +7 skills (like say, Sire of Shards).

Yes, completely. D2 charms are far superior.
These Grand Charms would be one of the most sought after items in the game, and would create very interesting trading opportunities.
