Act 3 Becomes Unplayable – Severe FPS Drop (2-3 FPS, Game Freezes, CPU/GPU Usage Drops)

Hello,

I’ve been playing Path of Exile 2 without any performance issues through Act 1 and Act 2. However, when Act 3 starts , I encounter a serious problem:
• The game runs normally for the first 30 seconds to 1 minute.
• Then, the ground textures/tiles stop loading properly.
• FPS suddenly drops to 2–3 FPS and the game almost completely freezes.
• At the same time, both CPU and GPU usage drop abnormally low (so it doesn’t look like it’s due to overload).
• When this happens, even menus stop responding, making the game unplayable.
• The only way to continue is to fully close the game.

This issue only appears in Act 3 — Acts 1 and 2 were perfectly smooth.
Is anyone else experiencing the same issue? Is there a known fix or workaround?

System Info:
• Device: Asus ROG Ally (Z1 Extreme)
