Im very dumb. How i fixed my FPS problems. (Not applicable to 99.9% of you)

So im only writing this for the .0001% of you as dumb as i am and that had the same issue as me. I was having really bad fps problems but I have a 7900x3d and a 5090. And i recently upgraded to a 5090 from a 4080 in between these two most recent seasons. Well i was perplexed because when i had my 4080 i had better FPS than most recently. I tried every trick in the book of posts that everyones been posting from yesterday to about a week ago and nothing was helping. Very confused I decided to download some benchmarking software to see how my CPU and GPU compare to people who had the same exact CPU and GPU. During my GPU benchmark my computer would just crash. After doing more research as to why that happened i realized that when i upgraded from 4080 to 5090 I didnt pay any attention to the wattage of my PSU and if that needed to be changed. Now realizing that my PSU was undersized at 750W, I went out to my local store and bought a 1200W PSU. Come back home, install it, and now the game is running much better for me. As it turns out since my PSU was undersized it was throttling my CPU and my GPU down to abysmal levels. I know this isnt going to help probably anyone, and this was a problem for me and me alone. But even if there is one person out there this reaches to, that is enough. Thank you guys.

After the most recent patch I have been having the screen freeze every 20 seconds problem. We "THINK" it's cache from the global chats, but GGG hasn't confirmed or put out a fix.

Not trying to be an arse, but I don't think you have an issue. It is a problem with this games optimization. Underpowering your GPU is insane actually, but if POE2 can't run on a 4080 it's GGG's fault.

TLDR: His PSU was too weak for his new 5090. He bought a new one and now the game runs smooth.

Exactly the same issue.

Not with the same gpu. but it was a change on gpu that pushed the eletric part...

And yes, I changed the power font, and everything went good.

before game couldnt load price checker that would make pc reset...

uninstall steam version, install standalone version. go to nvidia control panel and add the x64 and 32 bit version of the game to your programs list and set the power plan to adaptive or performance on both.

this took my fps sitting at the login screen from 30 to 85.

I found the solution of crashes,freezes and low fps. Just go to NVIDIA panel in the tab with Graphics and lower the bar to below of the half.

I putted to 30% and for me worked. For older PC put it to 10%.
