Supportgemms not working

I Play a Ranger with Tame Beast (what is a Minion Skill) but can't equip supportgemms who supports Minions like Meatshield and Elemental Army . So why do they namdes minions Supportgemm when you can't equip them to the Minions Skills ?

Please correkt that or change the supportgemms for minions .

Use that skill on a beast you want to tame, then kill it and the gem will replaced with a new gem referencing the beast you just tamed.

That new one is the actual minion and can be supported with those gems
