Rogue Exiles not reviving in abyss encounter
Am i doing something wrong?

Had the same question yesterday, I've juiced everything out of this mechanic. Literally spawned one on day 2 of the league, accidentally. Never seen another one spawn. Even on abyss overrun maps, they tend to spawn just between the lines of abyss

I accidently got a rogue exile to turn into a lich (dropping the unique) during the campaign, but now that I'm in maps with all the rogue exile map nodes trying to make it happen again, i can't.
I'm starting to wonder if it only counts rogue exiles that "naturally" spawn by the abyss i.e. it ignores any that you try and kite to the location (like how ritual works). Would love some clarification from GGG as its really hard to tell if its working as intended, not working as intended or just not working at all. |

" I got 1 too. Seems to be scripted to me, rogue exile has to spawn close to an abyss in order to get revived. If they spawn far from the abyss and you kite him it doesnt work, like abyss enemies are already generated for that istance. Just what i can tell from 50+ encounters. |

From what I could see, things will revive if they are "abyss green" when you kill them, for this to happen, they need to spawn close enough, when the abyss is spawned, and you need to kill them before hitting the abyss outburst threshold. That's a lot of condition leaving the chances for this type of encounter very low with anything higher than rares.
For the second part I think that, rare/boss/rogues, should have a part of the threshold that is higher so you can't trigger the outburst without them being killed. Also yesterday had an abyss in the giant boss arena on forge, and he wasn't green, could be because he spawns away, could be that the system is not how it looked like in the GGG video. |

Just gave up on this.
They kept spawning outside pits range, fully specced on atlas tree for them i was getting 1 exile every 2 or 3 maps. Then i ran waystones with area override by abyss + additional pits and they stopped spawning. When i was done with desecrated waystones i just ran a normal one with abyss and the exile spawned right at the start of the map outside of pits range, call it rng lol. Played 2 characters, one lvl 96 and the other one is currently 92, got 1 encounter in the first character and there are people with same atlas setup massively farming these mech with high success rate, i dont get it. แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย IILU81II#8410 เมื่อ 28 ก.ย. 2025 23:26:24
