Skills feeling feedback (Mace and Crossbow)
First of all, i want to say that 0.3 has been more enjoyable than 0.2 for me. The crafting is really good and the act 4 campain has been amazing to go through. The major drawback i felt was the skill system and a majority of the skills. I leveled two classes to T15 maps and i want to share my feelings on the skills but also seek out other people feedback on that.
TLDR : The skills have amazing visuals and animations but some of them feels horrible to press. Warrior : (fissure build) - Major drawback for all mace skills : Speed is horrible, and stun mechanics feels not appropriate as melee. I was forced to play one handed, even with three full nodes of attack speed just to feel ok. - Auto attack: Sadly this is the best skill for early levels in 1v1 (up to lvl ~40), this should not be the case in my opinion, if i have to spend mana on a skill it should be better than the basic auto attack, and just spamming auto attacks feels bad gameplay wise - Volcanic fissure :Amazing visual good feeling overall but i don't get why the fissures can't proc of volcanic fissure itself, it feel clunky to have to get a secondary button. Som annoyance is in contiguous maps or maps with holes in the middle (all breachs) the fissure often disappear or sometimes do not proc. So it is frustrating to have the main build mechanic to be irrelevant because of map layout - Earthshatter:Overall good feeling on this skill. However it sadly has the same flaws with fissure as volcanic fissures, it often dissapear or not proc at all, especially with support such as added fissures - Leap/stampede: I put these two in the same category, amazing impact feeling, but horrible buttons to press in my opinion, they are way to slow, clunky and not responsive. Really disapointed especially with stampede because on paper it was perfect for fissure procs but end up feeling really bad to use in the long term. - Sunder : It also looked really promising for fissure but ended so slow and clunky that i couldn't bear pressing it in the long term and only used earthshatter. - Forge hammer: Amazing animations and feeling on the detonation (however still has same flaws as volcanic fissure and earthshatter, fissures often dissapear in certain map layouts). What i feel is lackluster is the first throw impact, i though it looked amazing in the trailer but in game some things do not work with it, why no ancestral boost ? Why no aftershock ? I was hoping for a hammer throw build and this quite killed the feeling of it for me Mercenary : - Lots of good feeling skills :Galvanic shards, fragmentation rounds, permafrost bolts, explosive shot, high velocity rounds all felt good to use, and this was just showing more some outliers. - Glacial bolt : If the aim of this is to explode it with another skill, why would someone even bother when you can have permafrost bolts clear the whole screen ? This skill felt really bad for me, not even mentioning that you are blocked by your own frost walls (which is not the case with earthshatter for example) - Ice shards: How do you use this one ? I thought there was a rework in patch 0.3 but this skill felt horrible to use, it feels like it does no dmg and even that it miss the target with a lot of spread. What is the purpose design of this and how do you get it working ? - Hailstorm rounds: This one got me really sad. With the huge mana cost i was hopping to have the whole screen exploding and lot of damage and it felt so bad trying this for the first time, i used a lot of supports to try and see if it was betteer but just couldn't make it feel better than truely garbage. - In the end i was planning to use a lot of the late unlock skills like glacial bolt and hailstorm rounds but just kepts using the two lvl 1 skills permafrost and fragmentation up to maps T15. For me this is not great skill design but hey, at least the best skills where available from the start on crossbow. Amazon : I only did the early leveling on this one but wanted to share. I tried my best but only could bear it for ~20lvl, it was the most miserable level experience i had in an ARPG playing melee. The good one was lightning spear but i did not want to play range on this class. And the worst part, on warrior auto attack was at least effective, on huntress it feels like it does nothing. Really long post but i was disapointed that a lot of skills looked truly amazing but only few of them felt good to play and to use. I however think that the game is going to the right direction because i was having fun once i found skills thats felt good to press. ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 14 ก.ย. 2025 11:18:49

Huntress early game is not fun until you get lightning spear
But as stacking accuracy rating has been hard nerf as ls + block nerf , it is better to play deadeyes The class will never really exist until it bring its own playstyle, midrange half melee would be nice but evasion is bad in early leveling แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย shivalapretresse#7794 เมื่อ 14 ก.ย. 2025 11:12:45
