Feedback/Suggestion: Endgame routes/Atlas POIs
So I'm actually sticking through endgame for the first time since release. The mapping is interesting, other than the chilled ground, but the between map activities are very good at making me think "I don't think I want to run another map", so I update my market prices, and log off.
A lot of it is down to the mapping loop: 1. Find where I want to end up 2. Do I need to get to higher tier waystones? (early endgame) a. yes, run map boss maps on the way b. no, run the least interesting path so I can buff the interesting maps with a tower (which is 90% of the time the best thing to choose as a destination) 3. Finish map, with a dump tab full of loot to go through. 3-1, salvage, disenchant, and put 0-2 decent items in merchant 4. Look at endgame map again to refresh your plan, or log out 5. Repeat steps 2-4 until reach you destination 6. Run all the maps around that tower...... sike Now do 1-5 again to the next nearest tower because you are compelled to overlap at least 2 towers on a map before you run it 7. Now that you have overlapped two towers you: a. go to bed because that setup took your whole gaming session for the day b. run them all because you are truly addicted to chilled ground and temp chains Feedback/Suggestion: I would like to be able to compartmentalize the whole "plan your route" from my "play the game". We have bookmarks, can we have planned paths? So we can set a start point, path to our destination, and then set that as an active route on the map device. ![]() This would require us being able to see the nodes and links to plan out paths into the fog, but that's the only thing we need to be able to see, no other info. All 'why do you want to go here' info should be visual like 'there's a tower on that node because I can SEE a tower' is on that node in the fog. Then its click map device, it shows the Traverse menu in HO for the next map, insert waystone, and off you go. ![]() Having to go into the endgame map EVERY time we open a map is not the way. I would think triggering choice paralysis every map is not the intended outcome. PoE1 was nice because you did that choice in your stash, not in a sprawling endgame map that is spewing nearly endless options at you. AND running the same map over and over again was an option, you could go hours without looking at the atlas. Atlas POIs/Towers Towers in the distance take away the agency of exploring, unless there are more distantly visible things populating the fog worth going towards. They are the ONLY destination worth actively going for because there is a guaranteed outcome when you get there, but are delayed gratification even once you get there. The citadels are also worth travelling to but not in early endgame so they just sit there waiting unrun until you feel ready. I do think that my endgame would be more interesting with towers just not being there. I wouldn't feel obligated to get to a nearby tower before I clear the maps that allow me to run a Corrupted Nexus, or Deadly Boss map. Things like Unique maps, Corrupted Nexus, Wandering Traders, Deadly Boss maps SHOULD be the destinations we are going for, we need more types of POIs. My endgame tower replacement cook I would prefer if there were just natural (RNG) pseudo-influences for different mechanics that showed up in maps. Like you're just running a map and OH all the expedition guys are gathered here they must be doing some work in the area. Then boom some maps in the surrounding area are expedition maps. Its not a destination, its a discovery. My endgame tower modification cook Or when you get close to a tower's influence zone you can go to a basecamp and assign one of the endgame people to have them do some research there to point out some places nearby that they spotted from up there (discoveries). Towers without the FOMO of losing maps, possibly good maps, in the travel to towers. Small gripe Also please have a DEDICATED key for the endgame map or have it be the default U tab once the map device quest is run (per-character, not account-wide obv). แก้ไขล่าสุดโดย skiskow#1347 เมื่อ 14 ก.ย. 2025 16:35:05 ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 14 ก.ย. 2025 16:25:29
