Tamed beast spawns hostile mobs

Using the Tame Beast ability, I have tamed a Bloodthief queen (Big larva from start of act 3 that spawns hostile mosquitoes), and once she creates new mosquitoes, they are immediately hostile to the player.

From what I could test, I did not find that items could drop from these summoned hostile mobs, and while I have not tested, I have the feeling that any other tameable mobs that normally create non-minion mobs will reflect this same behavior once tamed.
