Give us a way to scale Uniques
The low value of uniques is insane. Most of the time it's useless in end game compared to a rare.
Adding new uniques is good and diversify the pool. But as long as 90% of uniques are useless the problem doesn't change. Why not do a system like last epoch, that can allow us to scale uniques to endgame. In last epoch uniques can spawn with LP on it, "legendary potential" 1 LP means you can add a modifier via crafting. 4LPs is incredibly rare (but exists), this way every drop of uniques, even low level, can mean something useful that can be used in endgame without sacrificing to much power. " Can't believe people unironically write nonsense like this as a response and click on 'send'. On topic: Yes, most uniques are useless. Over half a year ago, I provided feedback on that as well. A unique dropping should be exciting. Instead, I am more excited about the shards I get from disenchanting than the uniques themselves. The baffling thing is that GGG is super excited each patch to announce that they added ~10 uniques to the game. I agree with you, and share the same gameplay experience where I find myself just glad picking up shards, I would be very interested in a way to scale uniques in this game, however, as signaled by the other initial dismissive ragebait posts, the point of reference you mentioned is imo flawed in execution and flavor when it comes to its incompatibility with PoE2. I'd like to see some sort of system, but the one for Last Epoch does not provide interesting chase or match the kind of gameplay itemization that is befitting PoE2 and its various abstractions of gaining power/agency either directly or indirectly from gear.

Anyone trying to defend the overall uniques in this game are smoking something funny. There are some good ones but not a lot.
Yes I like uniques over legendaries but they have to actually be useful and viable or they are worthless and a waste of space. Without enough power they are simply uniquely bad. |
