Archmage - Mana Regen Seems Lacking

My Archmage Stormweaver has what I consider really good gear(play standard). The gear is basically at the point where my only meaningful improvement would be a +3 Spark jewel. It has issues sustaining mana and can only do burst Spark casts. This issue should be well known, but just wondering if there have been any GGG comments on addressing the mana sustain issue. It seems the Archmage change was over done and needs to be revisited.
