Temper Weapon still too annoying to use
I largely very supportive of Jonathan and his approach of doing PoE2 differently from PoE1.
But i be damn, sometime in this game there is just stubborn decision of form over function. Temper Weapon certainly one of those. Sure, it looks cool and all, but functionality is just damn too annoying, at best. Yes, even in mapping, when there no threat left, mechanic that makes you stand still for 3 seconds to gain charges is just annoying as hell. Plus skill DO NOT benefit from attack speed. Correct me if i am wrong, but every other channeling skill in the game benefit from casting speed, but Temper Weapon benefit only from action speed, and not from attack speed. Even though skill clearly meant for melee use. My suggestions are: Either change animation completely. Like Smith instead raises weapon above his head, and some spiritual hammer tempering his weapon. But main point here is that HE STILL CAN FREAKING MOVE while doing that. And on top of that even in this case channeling should benefit from attack speed. Or... skill simply charges passively over time. Doesn't even have to be sustained usage. Make it 1 charge in 2 seconds. Completely forgot to add how it is during bossing.
It might be just uncomfortable during normal mapping, but pinnacles? I mean, you designed those yourself, and did you really gave a though of someone using this during Arbiter's fight? |
