Suggestion for Heist implementation in POE2
So, me and my friends were sitting in chat having a discussion about how some of us do and some don't carry currency on them for things like corrupting essence, identifying and modifying strong boxes, and IDing random items on the ground. This naturally led into a discussion about how some of us thing its worth the taken up inventory space and some would rather port back as the need arises. The more i thought on this i ended up coming up with an idea to both solve this and implement it into one of my favorite poe1 leagues as an updated POE2 mechanic.
The idea: What if upon discovering and interacting with heist you got a currency bag, or tools sack? How this would work is you would get a item that could be opened independently in your inventory that was restricted to currency only in a set max amount like say one stack. you would start off with just maybe like 2 or 3 slots for currency and as you did Heists you could get something like tailoring kits to increase the number of slots to whatever the ideal amount decided on is. Now you may be asking how would this effect the Heist league it self to make it more fun and more interesting? Well in a Heist rather then carrying currency you use it to carry items like lock picks, bombs, lasers, etc and as you explore a Heist encounter you may run across doors that aren't able to be opened by the Heist member who's accompanied you. Theses areas would have the potential for better and larger rewards while being limited in how many you can open by the tools you brought with you. (This feature can also be locked in when starting a heist to prevent someone from just going back every time they need a different tool.) This system would add a very fun (in my opinion at least) way to spice up the standard Heist for POE2 along with whatever awesome ideas you already have cooking. What if you don't like Heist though as this feature would likely become a must have for most players? Well if your not a heist enjoyer you would get the starter bag just for discovering heist so little to no interaction would be needed. As for the upgrades they would come in varying rarities in the form of a currency item that could be traded for currency earned doing the content you do love, making it so everyone can enjoy and take part in this feature for a massive quality of life implementation that lets us keep the inventory space we have for what matters most DROPS!
