Potential Fix for Latency Spike/Game stutters
Like many of you, I have been experiencing crazy latency spikes that make the game unplayable. In a game where standing still will get you dead fast...we all the know the frustration. I had/have searched for some time now for a potential fix for it. I had pretty much given up hope that GGG were going to address it now, during EA, until they were just about ready to full launch. I tried EVERYTHING. Sound channel low, clear chats, join some bizarre Global and Trade channels. I may have stumbled on something that has thus far cleared it up for me.
I put together a custom PC build earlier this summer because, well, it was time to upgrade the ole potato. My current specs are: Ryzen 7 9800X3D Mobo-ASUS Prime X870-P WIFI 7 VC RX 9070XT 16Gb Periodically, I follow a streamer named JayzTwoCents. I happened to see he had a video up talking about stuttering in games. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YWTZkB9rVU0 Apparently, there is something going on with new MOBO's that have on board bluetooth and wifi adapters and their drivers. Son of B, I did what he proposes on the video and haven't had an issue with latency spikes yet. Hope it works for you too. I know how frustrating these latency spike could get. TL:DR- -Go to your mobo manufacturers website, update your Chipset drivers -Update your on board bluetooh drivers -Update your on board WiFi drivers Peace. ขุดครั้งสุดท้าย เมื่อ 29 ก.ย. 2025 08:18:02

Often overlooked it can simply be not having a ethernet cable running from the wi-fi to the PC.
Not all homes can do this but it can make all the difference. |

I actually ran a cable because I was originally on WiFi, but even hard wired I was getting the bad latency spikes.

yep, as usual, using microsoft's generic drivers is a horrible mistake

There was latency issue? I don't remember that but seeing the problem you had it was obviously a local issue. Glad you got it fixed.
