Dying to Map Boss wipes whole map (after revive)?

Hello,
i encountered a map boss whilst my delirium fog was still going. I always keep 1 revive just in case and in this case i died to the boss. After the revive the whole map was wiped, empty, deli was gone. That can't be intended right? Why have a revive if you lose your map progress and all map content?

this keeps happening to me as well on boss maps, if you die in the boss room it wipes the entire map even if you have revives left. since the patch
