Chat not working on Xbox controller

Chat not working on Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2. Playing on TV via Geforce Now.

Will open chat and starting typing letters, after a few letters the word disappears.

Occurs using the keyboard where you press guide button and Y to open keyboard. It's not the other keyboard that comes from Steam.
