Remove Gold and EXP Loss

I saw a build, that looked very promising and more appealing to me then my current build and wanted to try it out.
Bought a weapon, got my skills and passives only to realize after finishing, that i get crushed now, because the mobs are not dying fast enough and just run towards me and i die.

So, all exp progress i made towards a level is gone in an instance.
I cannot gain any level because i die at least one time per map.
I cannot go back to my previous build that worked, because i have no gold to reset my passives.
The game is punishing me, for trying something fun and for experimenting.

Now i need to farm tier 1 maps, collect every item that drops, sell it. So that i eventually have enough gold, to change my passives back.

That is not fun.

The whole purpose of gold is, to fuck you up, if you try something new. It even limits me, to trade for better gear because of the fee.
Let me refund my passives for free. Let me experiment. And dont delete something (EXP) that earned before.

D2 has to farm top bosses for respec - noone complain
PoE has pretty rare regret orbs to respec - noone complain
PoE2 has cheap gold cost for respec - people complaign "why not for free?"

May be you want free lvl 100 button and unlimited gear "to try things"?

The whole point of the game of this genre is to have you own character growth, farm for better things and exp, and build different characters from the scratch and if you want everything to be free whats the point of playing it at all? To "win" the game?

Exactly, that is a completely valid question.
PoE2 has a bigger playerbase, of course there are things, new players to the genre complain about and that is okay.

Did i said that? No.
Cut those sarcastic questions, they are not productive.

First and foremost, a game should make fun to play. And these are things for ME, that limit this fun. By reworking these two things, the game gives everyone more opportunities without limiting other players in their experience.

I unterstand, that you want some kind of growth for your character. And farming for better gear is one thing. You do not get gear from failing - but you get experience (not EXP) from failing. What the game does: "You failed, so i delete everything you learned in the past hours. Better luck next time."
Even with lvl 100 i will not have the strength to clear the highest endgame content without gear.

I mean all these kind of stuff "let us have fun" is killing games.
Look diablo 3 - it has no death penalty, revive in place in 3 seconds, and free respec, skipping campaign and all other stuff "for fun". The game is basically dead since all existing content can be skipped and theres nothing to do in game, no challenge - nothing to overcome.

In other words - if everyday will be a holiday you wouldn't have holidays at all.

I can add also that having fun should be in a progress of game, not from result only. You will have best feelings of achieving something when you put some effort to achieve that.

The reason is mods

Just get the omen which removes 75% of xp loss, problem 3/4 solved.

The whole ordeal of making it hard to respec is pretty much stupid design decision.

The harder it is to respec, the less people experiment with builds. And then we end up with everyone reading the same guides and doing the same exact builds. Any game that forces you to read 3rd party guides to play it, is a failure.

sell some maps or farm some lower content to get your gold back up

why is it the game's fault that you messed up?

Both are never going to happen,this is literally the consequence of your actions..... Like you could join any map group and just pick up gold and items to sell and not have to kill stuff it will take like 10min to get enough gold to respec. If you're SSF one would expect you kinda understand the game but you can just go do the interlude. I find it hard to believe you can't do t1 maps when you're at a level that xp loss matters. If you're 90+ and can't do t1 if any random gear this is a you problem. Like learn from your mistakes and move on.
