Please allow a refund option when buying from players' shops to stop the scams!

I just got scammed into buying a heavy belt for 33D because someone had listed heavy belts at 33E. I was buying them quickly because someone else was gobbling them up, and accidentally bought 1 for 33D that the scumbag snuck in there. I noticed a few of these dotted throughout the stash.

I know I'll get responses saying, "IT'S NOT A SCAM BECAUSE YOU DECIDED TO BUY IT!! YOU'RE JUST AN IDIOT" ... Sure, sure... If you're defending it, you're probably doing it.

It IS a scam and people are doing it dubiously. They know exactly what they're doing.

Please allow an option to refund to the shop you bought from with like a 1 minute window. That would fix the problem.

I have seen a handful of people do this. While I noticed it and didn't fall for it, I think it is a reasonable ask. It hurts no one to have a time limited refund because no one is returning something they actually wanted only people who bought something at a price they didn't intend.

I have however accidentally sold things to a merchant and was very glad I was able to buy it back.

It seems like the quickest and easiest fix to this problem.

I think having the trade interface of player trading would be great for assynch.

You select the items you want to buy, they get placed in a cart menu and you'll visualize the currency you will be spending in that transaction, to confirm you hover over both the currency you'll be spending as well as the items you're buying. If you see something wrong, you find the item, right click it to remove it from the cart and the currency returns to your stash or inventory.

It very much is a scam. They are bad people.

But stop trying to take development time to hold your hand. Read my friend. Take responsibility for your own bad descisions.

EA is already pushed backed. We won't see 1.0 until next year at the earliest. They've got better sh*t to do than deal with your laziness.

What's next? You click the totally wrong item and it's someone else's fault? Your greed and being in a hurry cost you. Learn a lesson and check before you buy.

Setting up refunds is going to be a pain. The merchants are going to want the item to auto relist as for sale. IF it doesn't then you will have people buying everything, then refunding it all just to get other merchants items taken out of the for sale inventory.

Much bigger issues that need taken care of vs I am in to big of a hurry to read.

No, you’re scamming yourself, pay attention. Also, where does it end with these get out of jail free things? Nothing like that should ever be put into a game like this.

I still think the easiest solution for that problem would be to require players to carry the currency they want to spend in their inventory. It's an additional step, sure, but at least you can't accidentally spend a fortune on some low-cost item and it's way easier to implement for the devs...
