Please do not gut crafting in 0.4...
Playing in SSF, it feels like crafting is in a good place, meaning it is possible now to get pretty decent gear late game, but not too easy.
If it's not working out in trade leagues, instead of directly removing and nerfing of crafting currencies, it may be better to consider raising gold costs on trading specific crafting items or even introducing account-binding on some items (*cough*omens*cough*) to make acquiring them less trivial and therefore harder to craft mirror-tier gear. Also, assuming Abyss goes core, those currencies and omens will naturally be less common as the abyss content will no longer be in every map. I (and I'm sure many others) feel like the game doesn't have much of a point and ceases to be fun if it relies too heavily on trade for player progression, so please take that into consideration. You know for a fact they will nerf crafting. I dont want them too either but it will happen and crafting materials won't be easy to get.

It's going to happen. Crafting right now is too strong and makes most rare drops mostly useless. This of course isn't a problem on SSF, but the game is balanced around trade. Unless GGG decides to make a separate balance just for SSF, there's no way around it
