Warrior Advice: Infernal Cry or Fortifying Cry?

I'm playing Smith of Kitava, working on a custom build just messing around having fun mapping and trying to see what works best for me. I've always used infernal cry to empower attacks but I'm wondering if Fortifying cry could be better from a defensive standpoint?

Does anyone use Fortifying Cry? If so, is it strong defensively? Or is it weak and generally a better idea to stick with Infernal Cry?

I'm just curious if others have found it useful in combat.
