Absolutely dire performance on PS5

I'm watching my partner play on their PS5, and the performance is the worst thing I've ever seen.

Game stuttering for .5-1 second each time it needs to load a new ability or enemy texture.
UI textures taking 3-5 seconds to load, so when you zone in all the boxes are just blurs.
Load times in the 30+ seconds.
I just tried to help them through Merc Lab, and the game was freezing/stuttering each time Izaro did a new move, resulting in constant deaths while the game is frozen.

I don't know how this was approved, honestly. It's a shame, as they love PoE 2, and I wanted them to get as excited as me for PoE, but can't do that when it's almost unplayable.

Any timeline for fix??

Game is unplayable. It's wild. Just fought eater and everything was invisible. Unplayable right now

Unfortunately, the optimization is, to put it mildly, very poor in this patch. I'm shocked. This is the first time I've encountered this in POE, and I've been playing on console for several years. POE 2 currently performs better. Texture loading takes forever, and based on trade, I see fewer people playing than in the previous league. I hope GGG can fix this soon.

I recently had some issues with my ps5 overheating and crashing this league. I know its different than your issue. But my solution was lowering the resolution in the settings. It doesn't look as pretty but it definitely fixed MY issue, it may work for you. Good luck
