Architect one shotting?

Is there any mechanic to him? Hit him and he seems to do a quick frost AoE around him which insta kills me

Anyone?

Fought him again, hit him a few times then some sort of instant AoE around him and i'm dead.

No visual clue

Here with the same question. I'm having trouble finding information about Xipocado boss online. I've gotten one shot twice now and I have no idea why, or what I should do differently next time. He summons his bullet hell, I'm having a grand old time bobbing and weaving, as far as I can tell no projectiles are touching me, then there's a pop and I got from full to zero. Then he give his troll line "An issue of skill." Nice one.

I mean my first mistake was playing melee, but I'm committed sooo yeah. Anyone know?

(GGG I am begging you, give us visual tools to understand our mistakes. I love your games but this sucks.)


Edit: Turns out dying to this boss closed all my remaining map portals and marked the map Attempted, so I lost the Corruption Nexus. That's a nasty bug, feels awful, tempted to stop playing.

I was looking around to see if anyone had a similar experience. I think my gear is above average. I have:

20k armour
3k health
20k armour against cold
35k armour against lightning and fire
Capped resistance

His frost looking Aoe one shot me from full health.

How much dmg does this guy do.

I mean I have killed him 3 times before but this is the first time seeing this ability.
