Did 0.4 improve performance issues?

I feel like there are less fps dips, but that might be a grace period as I started playing not to long ago, again.

They said they did but I don't feel like it was a 25% improvement like they stated. I can tell some particularly problematic areas before (like the act 2 town) definitely run better but all in all I'd say it's not a silver bullet.

I have a very high end setup. 5090 & 9800x3d and run at absurdly high quality - usually 5k resolution, maxed graphics, with DLSS on usually balanced-high to hit 120 fps steady. So my experience may not match the bulk of players.
That being said, even with the absurd setup last league I would regularly dip from 120 fps to like 30 at certain points (looking at you abyssal map fissures). I don’t have this problem anymore. Additionally my 9800x3d is running about 5 degrees cooler compared to last league resulting in my fan speed and noise going down quite a bit. I am still seeing texture streaming issues, looks like I’m playing OSRS at times… they released a Hotfix saying they fixed the texture streaming issue “for low VRAM gpus” but there are clearly are still problems there. So overall performance is definitely better for me, but like I said I’m not the bulk of players. |

No not really.
But then again 13 years of PoE and they never really improved that much either. |

have a high end setup here as well,,, performance is mildly better, but makes the PC run very hard, way harder than Alan Wake 2 or CP2077 on max settings,,, theres more room for improvement for sure

I got a big improvement on my end, using a 3080 and R7 5800x. Last patch I had to enable DLSS to have decent fps, now I don't gave to. Also I'm not getting anymore crashes when using DX12 so I'm not using Vulkan anymore (which was slower), to me the performance improvement is 100% wins.
