The Vision - Immersion - Skills

Path of Exile 2 prides itself on having slower more methodical combat. It wants a Dark Souls kind of feel in that way while still being a hack-and-slash ARPG.

That said, when I saw the GGG live showcase recently, particularly the Werewolf showcase, the cold and freeze and ice shards damage felt a bit forced. The obvious damage type that makes sense with Werewolf and its skills should be Bleed, but fortunately we can get out of cold damage into Bleed damage with some supports.

However, other skills wholesale still feel immersion-breaking for me.

• Tornado shot – “Fire a skyward shot that whips up a Tornado where it lands” is a completely immersion-breaking logic. Can we just remove this skill? I don’t think anyone really is using it.

• Twister – “Whip up a twister with a flick of your Spear” sounds bad. This is definitely more a wind spell and thus should belong to the Druid. Can we not make it a Druid spell, which then really comes online when used with the Whirling Slash as it already does.

• Whirlwind Lance – “Throw a spear with enough force to kick up a whirlwind”. That description makes no sense. Can we just remove it?
I would give the Huntress skills like Spear Cage (not a stretch given you have Bone Cage) which pins some of those trying to get out.

• Whirling Slash – “Perform a circular slash that kicks up a Whirlwind around you”. This is described to be and looks more like a wind spell (like cyclone) at the moment. Thus it would be more fitting to be a Druid spell again. I know you need this to encourage coming in and out of combat with the Huntress. This one is maybe a nitpick, but maybe I would change the animation that the huntress spins around to create the whirlwind and then not have the whirlwind look so big and stormy.

Elden Ring (basically Dark Souls but open world from the same developers) literally has an enemy whirling a big weapon (I think it was some hellebard) that creates a whirlwind like you can see in PoE2.

Also in PoE 1 Kira used a spear and wind stuff as well, so Spear+Wind seems to be the GGG way.

Also why should wind be exclussive to the druid? Because nature? Guess every elemental spell belongs to druid.
Yeah, hard disagree. This is still a video game. You don't want fantasy in your fantasy game? C'mon, man...
