GGG , and game dev trends .

I dont know if i am allowed to mention other games , but i have to , to make a point .

New world launched to 1 mill players just on steam .
over the years people were screaming at them with feedback.
and 90% of feedback was ignored or twisted to something that was not asked.

and the devs kept pushing what they want instead of what players want .
all the way until this year and barely anyone was online .
and they had to announce the game will be shutting down.

GGG launched POE 2 , to great success also . and the same thing is happening.
people are screaming with feedback , (to give props GGG at least admits they do hear the feedback) . but never give what is asked .

instead they twist it , so it is still what devs want but less horrible .
(they think they are meeting us halfway but they are not, i dont want my car wrecked 70% instead of 100% , i dont want my car wrecked at all)

latest example would be the rooms in the temple getting destroyed , losing slightly less rooms , is not what was asked . its not a solution , its nothing.

Now PoE2 is in no danger , there is a lot of cycles before people just had enough. but please GGG , try to talk it out , make the next league 80% what players want , like , love and 20% what the devs want .

i promise you GGG PoE 2 has potential to have 2million players at league launches if you just serve less sour things on the plate when serving the players .

This is not a hate post , this is coming from someone hoping GGG makes poe2 the biggest and best arpg for years to come .

This will always be a niche game until Jonathan can accept that only a niche audience likes being brutally punished and bullied by the game for trying to play it.

Endless downsides, punishments, taking away of xp, currency, progress, maps etc in a game that is designed to screw the player at every turn in order to one shot them and make things hard just for the sake of them being hard is a niche game forever.

There are way more rewarding games to play that don't hate you for logging in.

Yes, you can sell nipple clips designed to connect to a car battery but don't expect a large clientele of people who like doing that to themselves.
