Why does the map become empty when I die to map boss? I haven't played poe 2 for about 6 months, but I don't remember anything like that being in this game. Is this a new thing, a bug or someone should be fired?

no that's part of the vision. we must suffer as much as possible bc that's the way GGG wants the game to work
