Wyvern Stuck in Vaal Temple POE2

Good morning. I am having an issue with the game. I am in a Vaal Temple. I am two rooms from completing it. I put my main weapon in a shrine to upgrade and then my character went under the map. I am unable to pick my item back or get out from under the map. I am stuck due to not being able to teleport out as I will lose all my progress and my main item. Is there a way to fix this?

Hit escape...Respawn at Checkpoint. The same thing I need to do every time the Wyvern is stuck in a door, impaled on something, etc.
