Issue with Trial of Sekhemas & Blood Twins

I used a Barya in the Trials that 100% said I would get Ascension points for completing. When I finished it at got to the Treasure room, the Shrine was unclickable and wasn't lit up. Shortly after that I had my first fight w/the Blood Twins in the Interlude. I ended up dying the first time, and when I came back, the twins just continued to stand and chant, nothing I did activated them. That one I guess I'll have to do a total reset and redo the Vault, but the Trials is more irksome having my time and effort wasted for Ascension then getting F'd over.

Is getting to the room with the Bronze/Silver/Gold chest not the end? Where the Shrine I got my last points and a portal to the beginning not completing it? It said there were 4 Trials, I got to the end and killed the boss. When I returned the beginning, the alter was off and my Barya I used to get in was gone. This was the third time going in for Ascendancy points, so I think I have a total of 4
