Elemental Conflux breaks Vitality or Clarity support

The subject says it all. If I slot either clarity or vitality into Elemental conflux buff skill, the regen starts immediately but as soon as Elemental conflux activates its next buff type (cold/lightning/fire) the regen of the support stops.
