Locked out of "End of the search" quest after defeating boss

killed boss, somehow walked in front of npc's and then they couldnt follow me onto the platform, tried respawning at checkpoint but area didn't reset properly and boss just respawns for dying animation and disappears

Will just reset zone but yeah, not ideal
