Bug - Oil barrage unable to hit enemy at close range

Sometimes when I am too close to the enemy, oil barrage (wyvern skill) literally just shoots past the boss and nothing hits the boss at all.

One example is after pouncing towards the boss and using oil barrage. Almost all the time if I don't move my character slightly it won't hit the boss at all.

Also, another thread has already highlighted this, but I wonder if this relates to this issue - Oil barrage unable to hit enemy at slight elevation difference.
