Spell Totem "Spell Life Cost"

I'm using spell totems and converting mana costs to life.

1. I have "Skill Mana Costs Converted to Life Costs" from nodes such as "Blood Rush" and jewels. This affects spell totems cost as expected turning a part of its cost to life cost.

2. I have "Spell Mana Cost Converted to Life Cost" from nodes such as "Blood Transfusion". This does not affect spell totems cost unexpectedly considering spell totem is declared as a spell.

3. Both of these effects work fine with other non-spell skills or spells just spell totem is weirdly not affected by spell cost conversion...

This is apparently also the case with Dark Effigy.
