Can't go back into Abyssal Depth after death picking up items

Hey, so I was on in Interlude act and had an Abyssal Depth, done it (I guess i've killed the final boss) and Omen of Abyssal Echoes dropped; I didn't picked it up immediatly, and then died to another minion. I've revived, I could click on the Abyssal Depth but it didn't got me in, I then moved and the "gate" disappeared.

Can I get the item back ? Why does the game not let me in ?

Sucks you lost out on the echo but this isn't a big, if you die in the depths you can't go back. It a one time deal.
