Spymasters deleted from the middle of a chain.

Is this intended? I did not think rooms could be deleted from the middle of a chain and leave rooms disconnected yet present in the temple. Every empty space in the middle of the chain including the one adjacent to Atziri were spymasters. I had a spymaster right above the Apex of Oblation to sacrifice and upgrade my other spymaster.

I had noticed all my spymasters were dead except the first one in the chain when I ran the temple. I ended the temple and saw this BS when I closed it.

Did I make a mistake? Is this intended? What the hell is going on?
