Fire Spell on Hit + Volcano

I was wondering if anyone knows why I can't socket Volcano into Fire Spell on Hit? I'm messing around with a Volcanic Fissure build for fun using Shockwave Totem to trigger the fissures and thought that Volcano would really make this a wacky kind of build. The gem just won't socket into Fire Spell on Hit, and it's got me confused! Any help would be appreciated!

Its probabbly cuz of channeling tag. I think you cant trigger channeled skills, but i cant find trigger restrictions atm.

Fire Spell on Hit has no mention of channeling tag skills, so it's either a bug, a missing description or a non-intended & non-documented interaction.

95% of things in game dont have descriptions. Thats why are ppl asking. And it kinda makes sense that channeled skills cant be triggered.

Its common knowledge from PoE1 that Channeled Skills cannot be triggered.
In PoE1 it mention what stuff doesn't work with it.


And it's same in PoE2, but they didn't mention it anywhere.
