Is it intended that you can't sacrifice the companion created from "His grave command"?

I was testing a build concept revolving around this skill which "summons the bound undead as a reviving companion".

According to the Sacrifice spirit gem I should be able to use this minion as a corpse, as the gem description of sacrifice states:

"While active, your undead Reviving Minions can be used in place of Corpses by your skills, but your Minions Revive more slowly."

The bound undead is an undead, is reviving and is a minion type skill gem, so from my understanding it should work and this is a bug.
