Rares not showing up on map after killing boss

Anyone know whats up with that? I thought after killing boss, all rares and special areas show up on minimap.

When I kill boss, nothing shows up, the wierd thing is, the only way I can get the game to show me all the rares/special areas, is only AFTER i visit all checkpoints. Which what is the point of that? To get all checkpoints you have to trvale the whole map.

Hopefully there is something I am doing wrong someone can help me with...

Ughhh damnit - I always thought it was killing the boss is what showed everything. Guess I have thought wrong this whole time.
