Getting destroyed in maps

I just finished the campaign no problem and today I started my first map... I'm getting absolutely destroyed. Can anyone check out my character and give me some tips? I don't know what I'm doing wrong

EDIT: I used chatGPT and he told me to get life leech, steelskin and determination. I'm able to run the maps now

I see few potential problems
- Your resistances aren't maxed, go for 75% fo ele resists and at least 0% chaos;
- You need defence layers, steelskin (or molten shell), block and determination are a good start;
- You're playing melee, you will die a lot. Being ranged is generally speaking the best form of defense;
- You have almost no damage support gems, your dps is too low;
- You lack accuracy, Precision aura can help;
- Your boots lack movement speed, mobility is important.

You can also try different skills. I see you use staff, so Static Strike + Shockwave is good combination. You don't need Faster Attacks Support in this setup, you hit once a few seconds and run around mobs when they get zapped.

Gems would be:
Static Strike - Physical to Lightning - Shockwave - Elemental Damage with Attacks - Increased Critial Strikes - Added Lightning Damage

Also switch your weapon for Hegemony's Era unique staff, it's cheap and will boost your damage.

It's fine to explore game by experimenting, but PoE is really difficult for a new player, I'm impressed that you've made it to maps with first character. For actually clearing endgame, I strongly recommend you to follow some proven starter build.
