FPS Drop

I was playing PoE 2, then switched to play another game. When I came back to PoE 2, I got a performance drop.

RTX 3080
Ryzen 5700X3D
32 GB RAM
win 10

The GPU is undervolted, but even so, 2 hours ago I had 120 FPS with full GPU usage.
Now the GPU is only at 30% load and I get 40 FPS with stuttering — both with undervolt and at full stock settings.

I also tested other games to make sure the GPU is working normally, and there are no performance drops there.

Nothing in the system was changed, installed, or reset.
Game settings were not changed.
There were no crashes or BSODs.
No updates happened.
Basically, nothing that could have affected performance.

There are no temperature issues — I have a full-cover water cooling loop.

I also started getting this error when trying to change settings:
"Unable to re-create swapchain, likely because a third-party program is keeping it alive. If you're running OBS in Game Capture mode, try switching to Window Capture."

I tried deleting the PoE 2 folder in AppData — didn’t help.
I tried deleting the PoE 2 folder in Documents — didn’t help.
Some people suggest switching to windowed mode, but any change in settings crashes the game.


First time for 500 hours...Any ideas?
