Quick question for a Shock Nova Hierophant build

I was looking at different Shock Nova of Procession Hierophants as my own Pledge of Hands build was kinda hitting a Wall in Nightmare Maps.

I found this build(https://poe.ninja/poe1/builds/mirage/character/Toboun-5781/Toboun_Miraaaaage?i=1&search=class%3DHierophant%26skills%3DShock%2BNova%2Bof%2BProcession) looking through poe.ninja which looks like a good direction to go but there is one thing I do not get and maybe someone can enlighten me:

The build rund Anathema with 3 curses but for the life of me I can't figure out how it generates Power Charges. Only the measly build in chance on Anathema (where I'm unsure if it even works with Arcanist Brand but even if it does that seems more than unreliable).

No Power Charge on Crit Support and no Conviction of Power. Am I just blind, is it an oversight in that build or is the build in Power Charge generation from Anathema really enough and works with Arcanist Brand?

If I went in a similar direction with my build I'd probably replace a support gem with Power Charge on Crit Support but I don't want to mess up and throw away damage if I just did not understand something correctly

Look at the ring, chance on casting a curse.

It doesnt need to generate power charges. Anathema curse limit is based on your max power charge, not current count.

and build is running a diamond shrine belt, crit chance bonus from PC doesnt matter at all.
