general questions:
since we have such a huge leech, why dont we spec into vaal pact?
And why dont we take the double 2hand damage cluster near the duelist spawn point?
Why dont we use Iron Reflexes since we have a hybrid armour/evasion build?

Vaal pact just doesn't work well with slayer at all, we already have a good amount of damage on the build so the 2h cluster at duelist didn't seem worth it when I was minmaxing my tree and we already have lots of endurance charges so getting a tiny bit of Armour from IR is very minimal and nowere near worth the points.

Do you use a lower level of cwdt so that it doesnt cast vaal lightning trap automatically in the blind setup? What about gem levels in the cwdt - vortex - vaal lightning trap - IC setup?

Also, what is your tooltip dps for warchief?

Vaal skills cannot be procced by Trigger skills.

The level of the cwdt is just a personal preference really any level works really but I wouldn't level it above level10

Is it even possible to farm the required currency without the items?

I did every bit of content without cospri's but It definitely helps a lot.

But while im farming for that disfavor currency, how high can I go?
I really want to make this build but I will just be farming for ages for that disfavor :(
I've mostly played budget builds, and invested max 3ex on single character.

I did all Guardians with a 500pDPS axe and a 6l Astral but had trouble with shaper and uber atziri

So disfavor and cospris is only needed for that really endgame stuff?
Oh and if im not using a cospris, you'd suggest going for an astral plate?

Astral plate is a cheap option, if you can't go cospri's I'd recommend going a belly of the beast.
