You can take the full hit if you have 1000 life and decent armor. I've done it with a strength-stack character.

Beyond that, the advice from a year ago is still true. Just run clockwise around him and kite. You can kill him without getting hit.

Decent armor would work, but my sorceresses usually have 0 physical/global mitigation, especially at lower levels. This boss (and its multiplying reskin variants) makes me giggle each time, it just looks so silly when it either misses entirely or oneshots through full ES, something no act boss can do. Very lazy-made boss, and very lazy-made defense parity, pure casters always suffer from physical damage and from bleed. And lose exp of course.

I somehow never struggle with him. I just dodge roll behind him and he never hits me. Yes it feels like a dark souls boss in that you get a few attacks in then dodge constantly and you have to stay literally touching him the entire time even on a ranged char but it works.
