Crafting system is garbage

Melee items char roll with mana, jewels roll with 2 different types of weapons, the player loses a lot of currency by rerolling an item and never reaches his goal. why you didnt bring craft bench from poe 1?.

Who cares about light radious??. Why do all weapons roll with stun?

Even with omens the system is still garbage, no matter what you do, it always comes with meaningless rolls, mana light radious etc... in fact, it is crealr that is addiction in that roll. sounds like joke these useless omens.

Seriously, instead of adding 22 new runes to the game, which no one drops, why didn't they make a better crafting system?.

i wish one day to come to this forum and say something good about this game.

This game has no crafting in it.

Its pure gambling, and having to find the items before you can "craft" them is a total joke. Chance and Vaal orbs are two of the worst things ive ever seen in a game.

I think a better word is pointless.

Crafting is pointless in POE 2.

You may be better off saving your crafting currency and using it to purchase the item you want from the trade website than risking it on crafting and ending up with nothing (no item or currency).

I have said it before but if you need a helmet with this system, you need 1000 helmets to drop on a map just so you can find 1 or 2 that are close enough to what you actually can use to then risk crafting on it.

So, let's see, each map would need to drop, 1000 helmets, chests, gloves, belts, boots, weapon, ring, ring, amulet.

Thats a total on 9000 items that need to drop per map, so you can maybe find 2 of each that are worth trying to craft/gamble on with the limited currency that drops.

Exactly..

Those items you have find are basically 'currency' you feed the slot machine..
Current system is a complete joke and waste of time..

Seeing how this is still "" early access "" hoping, GGG has plans for future release to overhaul this abomination they do call crafting..
Omens could be perfectly fine as a crafting system BUT they'd need to be common material with a rarity similar to the omens of corruption and definitely NOT a 3-5 div each luxury that only the mirror rare crafters aka 0.1% of the playerbase can afford to do.

Then upping the chances for recombinator for lower tiers and we would be cooking.

Yeah, it's so disheartening. You're farming mats for dozens and dozens of hours to play a slot machine that produces practically only failures.

I am wondering if they are ever running their numbers. Because it is hard to believe that they would balance it this way if they did. A game centered around loot and item progression just feels like shit if the developers try to bar you from progression to pad game time (and hide their time sink behind the guise of "meaningful gameplay")

I truly believe they have numbers.

Unfortunately you are not seeing their perspective so it is difficult to understand.

There are many players who complain on these threads, but there may be more who get what they needs and are not complaining.

We just cannot see the flip side, and the actual success rates. In any case, it is probably a design choice to retain players to the game so players keep trying. Unfortunately, that is an old mentality, probably would have worked in PoE1 days, but it's 2025, and we have Mario Kart World baby.

I am going go have fun.

Atm, I'd say crafting system is non-existance =)

Why not start today? You *surely* have things about the game you like and I would hope that those faaaaar outnumber the downsides. If the downsides outnumber the upsides, AND youre still playing, you may want to consider that you are the issue and not the game.
